Monsoon Ready

Now that we, here in Mumbai, experienced a few mild showers I figured it's time to prepare for the horrible season in which you can't wear socks, use leather or wear white. Because the rain hates us.

I have MANY leather bags which are bound to get spoilt due to the humidity, if you have leather jackets or bags make sure to keep them in a plastic bag, sealed, and in a dry place.

 Things to buy:
1. Waterproof bag
2. Umbrella
3. Raincoat
4. Monsoon footwear
5. Pocket Tissue

Umbrella: Forever New, Jellies Footwear: Forever 21, Pocket Tissue: dad's

Well, I tried looking everywhere for a waterproof bag, but, only the sports brads like Puma, aAdidas, Nike et all have them. So, I bought a Nike bag from Planet Sports at Inorbit:

The only thing left on my list is a Raincoat, for probably 4 years I've used my dad's company's windcheater, it is huge and comfortable and well, I didn't care, but now I do. So if like me you're looking for a raincoat or wind cheater, Lifestyle at Inorbit has many raincoats from Bossini. Shoppersstop also has a good collection, I checked it out last year with my sister.

Tips:

1. Buy umbrellas with the pouch so that your bag's not wet from inside.

2. If not a waterproof bag buy a cover which keeps your bag dry

3. Do not buy anything from street vendors, they are unreliable, buy from stores which are knows for quality.

4. The smaller your umbrella the more it is prone to break due to heavy winds, I know this by experience too.

5. If you have a locker in school or college, keep a pair of dry pants there in case you get wet.

6. Avoid Socks at all costs, they make you sick if worn wet, or keep dry socks in your bag.

7. Don't eat street food, the water is unhygienic, also avoid green leafy vegetables. Ask your parents why...

8. Be ready to get rejected by EVERY rickshaw guy on the street, either call a cab or your parents or just die trying to get a rickshaw.

In conclusion the season is fun only if you're sitting at home gawk out the window. School, College, or going to work is just HORRIBLE.

Happy icky yucky gooey monsoon...
