So you guys must definitely know what it's like to have, not one of those days, but, one of those weeks where everything seems to go wrong, Yep, happened to me. I got sick, really high fever and stuff, homework not yet done, haven't spoken to ANY friend of mine lately apart from 2 or 3 who I believe helped me keep my sanity, also, my skin's going crazy with all these pimples and stuff...you know what? I'm just not listing it any further or giving it any importance. I am trying to get out of it and I will, so will anyone out there in the same situation.

Happy Holi
Sorry for not posting yesterday you guys I just was soon into spending time with my best friend . It's been forever for us.
Anyway I decided why not make a holi preparations and celebrations blog with my bestie ofc!
so:
1. Do not take a bath!
I know, but what's the point? you will have to take a bath again right? this is the one day in the year you'll actually be proud to say you didn't bathe :P
2. Oil everywhere.
Not just your hair but also your body to prevent from the colours from making a long term impact or harm your skin.
3. Tie your hair in a braid or pony
To prevent excessive colour damage.
4. Use Safe colours.
Colours that are eco-friendly and not permanent.
5. Apply nail paint.
On both feet and hands. this is to prevent the colour from staining your nails. No manicure can remove it all you know!
6. Conditioner.
Idk but I started doing this a couple of years back, I use conditioner to remove colour from rigid places, It's a oily sticky things so I guess colour comes out better without harming skin or hair.
7. Wear old clothes and old slippers or no slippers at all.
The will never look the same again. trust me.
8.The colours you use may be non-permanent but you never know what the other person uses so be careful and tell everyone to use eco-friendly or safe colours.
Lastly, take care and have an amazing and safe holi you guys.
loads of love :*

How To Grow Your Hair Out | With Me
Once upon a time, there was girl with hair that reached till her butt, but then she grew up and couldn't manage it and now she has ended up with layers and frizz.
That's my story.
So what I have decided to do is grow out my hair to have 2 distinct layers that do not make me look like a balloon, like I am now, with layered bangs only near the face. But to obtain that I need to grow out my shortest layer of hair to have equally lengthened hair.
So after "extensive research" I have finally got it all figured out. I thought that if there is anyone out there with similar problems that WE COULD DO THIS TOGETHER!!
Now you won't turn from Tinkerbell to Rapunzel overnight.
So, here are some DO's and DON'Ts
DO's
1. Eat enough Proteins, fats, green leafy vegetables, fruits, seeds and nuts. I know it's too much but I already started this a week ago and it is absolutely amazing for your skin too.
2. Apply Oil before EVERY wash. Keep it on for 45 minutes and then do the usual washing.
3. Wash your hair with moisturising shampoos and use this TIP: when you wash your hair, massage the shampoo only into the scalp and not the ends of your hair to reduce frizz.
4. Get regular trims. Like at least every 2 months. This eliminates split-ends and dead-ends.

5. Tie your hair up in buns or braids to let your lower head follicles breathe.
6. Use a satin pillow case apart from a cotton one to get softer hair.
DON'Ts
1. Do not wash hair everyday! It ruins the natural sebum oil that your scalp creates causing dry and frizzy hair. I wash every alternate days but they say it's best to do it every 3 days. Sigh. No.
2. Do not use very tight Hair ties...go for the ones that do not pull your hair out either.
3. Do not comb wet hair! Your hair is fragile when wet so stay away from doing so.
4. Comb your hair down to up. Like detangle knots near the ends and then slowly go upwards. Do not go straight from the root to the tip which causes a mess of knots. Trust me. I know.
5. Do not use heat. Forget blowdrying, straightening, curling...no no no.
6. Avoid colouring as much as you can cause we all know it's chemicals after all so it is bound to harm you
Now. As for the PRODUCTS to use. ( in order of usage and necessity)
1. Shampoo. I use the TRESemme Keratin Shine
2. Conditioner. I use the Sunsilk Strong and Abundant. I might shift to something else...leave comments for suggestions <3
3. Hair oil. I have this Pure Natural Coconut Oil in a bottle that my Dadi gave me so...
4. Serum. Toni&Guy Glamour Serum. It's just my most loved product <3
5. Heat Spray. I don't actually own one now because I have given up heat...But there are many good ones to choose from specially the TIGI Bed Head range.
6. Leave-in-Conditioner
7. Dry Shampoo
8. Anti-Frizz Spray
That's my story.

Double Ponytail
1. detangle your hair. Add a voluminizing spray or a Sea salt spray
2. Back comb the hair near your crown for a fuller looking pony
3. Tie the back-combed hair into a half pony
4. Leave out your bangs and a little extra hair.
5. Tie the remaining hair into another pony right below the first pony
6. Use the extra hair to roll over the pony and hide the hair ties
Voila! Fuller looking pony in just 6 steps!
Why? It adds volume and length
Did I use a voluminizing spray? No.
What is the product I used? Tony&Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray.
Did I back-comb too much? No, I did just a little.
Did I use any electric Stylers? No, my hair is naturally straight and my hair cut gives me waves
Do I do this often? No, this is the first time I tried it! I usually go with the normal all hair back with one hair tie method, but this is good for 2nd or 3rd day hair as the hair usually goes flat by then.
Did I apply Make-up? Just moisturiser, CC cream and my Revlon Lipstick
Hope this helped...follow me on Pinterest for more such pins <3

Co-Washing Elucidated
As a girl with frizz-prone hair I can be your bestie in terms of understanding hair woes.
Pollution, Humidity and Undernourishment are the 3 basic causes of beggar-looking hair, trust me, I know!
So usually what one does when their head is a mess is go and chop off ends or at least get a spa done.
I can't chop off cause I'm trying to get rid of my layers for even levelled hair, and as far as getting a Hair Spa goes: it never works out for me!
As I flipped through the amazingly edited pages of Vogue January I came across the definition of Co-washing. Not that I hadn't heard of it before or seen pins on Pinterest, but whatever comes printed under Vogue gets into my head faster than any other source of information.
What is Co-washing?
Basically, It's just replacing your shampoo+conditioner routine, for one day, with just conditioner: Easy Peasy!
Amount of product: How much ever you want...not a coin-size and those measurements that apply when using conditioner after shampooing.
Frequency: even regularly would do but I prefer once a week.
Products: Any conditioner works, there are special co-washing conditioners. I use a normal conditioner. I used Sunsilk Strong and Abundant this morning and I have tried the Satinique hair masque and conditioner too...they're pretty much the same! I'm almost over on the masque.

Products: Any conditioner works, there are special co-washing conditioners. I use a normal conditioner. I used Sunsilk Strong and Abundant this morning and I have tried the Satinique hair masque and conditioner too...they're pretty much the same! I'm almost over on the masque.
Fabulous Advantages:
1. Clean:
Using shampoo gives squeaky-clean hair which may not be good enough for Styling, even if not styling, squeaky clean hair is not good as it dries your hair out stripping natural oils.
2. Natural Oils:
Co-washing once a week or more according to your hair type helps you maintain proper natural oils. So, hair won't be too greasy or too dry!
3. Knots:
Conditioner being our blissful angel in detangling hair, co-washing keeps knots away for longer!
4. Frizz:
Frizz is controlled as co-washing gives ultimate hydration so the hair won't have the electric-shock look issue.
5. Shape:
Curls <3 I really don't know if it's just me but whenever I use hair masques or home spas or anything at all that hydrates my hair more than usual, I develop amazing curls! Parlour spa gives me straight hair and anything at home gives me curly-wavy hair ( weird!)
Additional Care:
- One very good habit I have inculcated into my hair-care routine is Oiling, every alternate wash I oil my hair 2 hours prior with L'oreal Extraordinary Oil or just any hair oil I get my hands on. I love how my hair becomes stronger with just one little step!
- No tight ties, I have stopped tying my hair into tight high pony tails...just braids or loose ties. I hate how the shape of my hair gets ruined PLUS it pulls on the roots making hair weak...complete no-no!
- Zero Styling. I love natural hair. No colouring or straightening or curling! I hate it all! I once read this amazing article by byrdie about french women and their lovely hair <3 and It's just what I have believed in since my mom stopped taking care of my hair. The more natural you are the prettier you are and the more time you spend developing your personality rather than physical looks! I do curl every now and then for occasions but I don't curl all my hair!
- Lastly: do not stress over your hair more than necessary...apply oil overnight, wash in the morning and braid it to college if it's too damaged and wait until your next scheduled parlour appointments. Stay away from heat and chemicals and your hair will love you for it <3
Co-wash and tell me your experience :D
I hope you like the new blog look ( web view not mobile view)
I'm so sorry for not posting since such a long long time, I have been spending some time with my dad...I'll catch up with you guys :*

Party Ready
IT'S HERE!
The most awaited end of the year party is finally here!
So basically I have 2 plans for today...one is a Lunch Party with the Family at Taj and another is a Movie Party with my friends at night.
I'm going to actually show you the sequence of how I got ready for the Lunch Party cause it would be too late to blog about the other one.
ARE YOU PARTY READY?
Pro night-before tips:
1. Alway wash your hair the night before to avoid too clean hair. Styling and setting requires 2nd day hair but to avoid the grossness of 2nd day hair wash your hair the night before!
I use the TRESemme Keratin Smooth shampoo with the Sunsilk Natural Recharge Conditioner and a dab of toni&guy Glamour Serum
I used The Nivea Smooth Milk body lotion
3. Apply lip balm at night. Not only for occasions as such but also regularly to avoid chapped lips or pigmentation.
I use the Body Shop Born Lippy Strawberry
4. Decide your outfits beforehand to avoid hurried fashion disasters.
I always plan beforehand to avoid getting up early :P
The day:
1. If you did not wash your hair the night before be sure to use some Texturing spray or Voluminising spray to avoid unmanageably smooth hair.
I use the toni&guy Sea Salt Spray for such situations or to even get a Beachy Hair look.
2. Take a bath with a Scented Body Wash to have a long-lasting aroma. Apply normal amounts of body lotion and a good Light cream on your face
2. Take a bath with a Scented Body Wash to have a long-lasting aroma. Apply normal amounts of body lotion and a good Light cream on your face
I use the Nivea Waterlily & Oil Body wash, The Nivea Body milk mentioned above and Lakme Perfect Radiance Light Creme.
3. If you did not plan your outfits it's not late yet. Keep all your choices on the bed and see what matches the occasion. If at all you need help contact me :P I'm always free for such stuff!
A. Outfit
If you're doing 2 things on one day be sure to either wear the came clothes which match both occasions or learn to change quickly!
I always change but I still take precautions like wearing occasion neutral clothes like today.
For the lunch today I'm wearing a Grey Wrap round style dress from a place called Labels of Love in Dubai with opaque black tights from Atmosphere and ankle-length boots from H&M.
If you aren't a beginner, leave alone a pro here are tips for you:
1. Moisturise enough to avoid flaky skin. I use Lakme Perfect Radiance as mentioned.
2. Apply a CC or BB cream for even skin tone. I use the Faces CC cream
3. Use a light Compact powder that blends well and doesn't look cake. I use the Maybelline Clear Glow (shade 04 Sand Beige)
4. Eye-makeup. I was an always one-stroke-of-liner-is-all type of a girl but lately the eye-shadows have just lured me into their world! I tried a smokey eye today, well I honestly don't know if I did justice to it. But hey! I tired okay!
I used the H&M smokey eye palette with 3 shades : White, Grey and Black. and then used the Maybelline Sketchpad Liner and the Urban Decay Ink For Eyes and the F21 Eye Brush min set.
5. I usually go for my Faces nude shades or my revlon colour Sticks but this time I tried a Victoria's Secret Red Lip Gloss and it's amazing! GO BOLD LADIES!
C. Hair
I never really do much for my hair, I have a layered cut and my hair sits perfectly for my round-face but at times when I tie a pony-tail and the shape of my hair gets compromised I use the lovely zebra pint straightener I own.
It's a Corioliss pro I got off Flipkart as an emergency substitution to my Braun one that my sister stole. This one works well too.
D. Accessorising
I always aim for a golden or silver trend. Like my neck piece, earrings, rings and bracelets follow a common theme. I mostly own golden junk jewellery. Today I'm wearing this triangle neck-piece from F21. It's huge enough to be noticed and shiny enough to be the only jewellery I'm wearing apart from my mother's gold ring.
E. Footwear
If you're a footwear matches outfit no matter how much it hurts sorta person like me you'd probably buy all neutral coloured footwear.
As I'm wearing tights today and I want to look tall I'll go with my H&M ankle-length boots to compliment the entire outfit.
F. Perfume
Everyone likes a nice smelling person. But have you ever been in the elevator and a person walks in and the entire elevator starts smelling like the person and it gets too much into your nose and you are suffocated and waiting to get out ASAP? Yea, you don't want to be that person.
Stick to mild yet long-;asking scents. Men and Women Scents are both equally good if you hate florals like I do. I use the Escada Born In Paradise for her as it is the only floral I actually like!
So this is all for today, geez didn't I type too much? I did. I'll just make the key points bold for those in a hurry!
Lots of love
Happy New Year

Travel Tips
( Essentials: Health&Glow wet wipes, Bvlgari travel kit, lotus sun spray, nivea moisturizer, maybelline makeup-remover, nivea anti-perspirant, tini&guy glamour serum, lakme oerfectraduance, neutrigena face wash, zuci hand sanitizer, hugo boss energize perfume)
No matterwhere you go : Domestic or International always have prior ticket and visa bookings to avoid last minute cancellations or stress...
Everything is online now so do your booking at least 15 days prior.
Planning:
Planning a trip is quintessential given that the moment you go somewhere there are so many things to do and so less time, even 15 days, forget 4 days is less time to truly explore...
Read destination Travel Guides, blogs, newspaper articles or magazine City Reviews, and then list out the things you want to do and then plan accordingly as to what you'll do when.
Packing:
Honestly, not meaning to boast, but I'm a packing pro! I flew the first time when I was five months old, and since then I have had the opportunity to pack at least once a year!
So, first thing first, the main purpose of packing is clothes...I always count the places I go to and accordingly make outfits. Like it wont be 4 days 4 outfits, it may be 10 or 3...
So make outfits, these denims those jackets and these heels. Pack for beach, cold, sport, party and casual! You never know what change of plans may occur. So fold all your clothes neatly without spoiling the ironing and arrange a base layer and so on in your suitcase.
Suitcase: buy chic yet spacey suitcases, usually 16kg ones do good for 7 day trips, bigger one is 20-22kg for more days. I bought the skybags by VIP at the cost of 5,000 and its just so pretty in blue and white!
Don't forget to pack nightwear! Been there! I was so excited I forgot :P repeating nightwear is fine so dint take too many, I usually just take 2 pairs for 4 days..
Always pack few accessories that will go allng with modt of your outfits... Scarfs, jackets, handbags, take as few as possible and light weight ones.
Lingerie: essentials according to events, camisoles, tubes and tights no matter what. Pack extras and neutral onesthat would go along all your outfits
Travel kit: well everyone has their own customisations but yet here are some basics to carry:
Tissues, wet wipes , cotton clouds, band aid, face wash, moisturiser, hair ties, comb, mints, perfume, hand sanitizer, basic medications.
Makeup: always carry light unless you're going for a fashion show or something. I cary my CC cream, compact powder, lipsticks, lip balm, eye liner.
Buy travel pouches or just any zipper pouch would do. The blue aztec one is from F-21 and the orange one is from ginger and the cheetah print is a pouch I got along with lipglosses ( check the gift guide to know more)
Footwear: carry one pair of heels, one pair of flats and one pair of bellies. Pack them separately in plastic bags or shoe bags...
Before leaving:
Check and reconfirm if you've kept your Passport, tickets, visa
Online Check-in: do it ALWAYS, check- in starts 24 hours prior to boarding.
Mobile Charger: forgetting that would be a mess
head phones: travelling would be a bore without earphones
Novel: for crazy readers like me the hours spent in the flight and at the terminal are blissfully meant for novels...
