DIY for crazy organizers

I think my mom's genes got a bit dominating and shooed the laziness out of me and I did a LOT of cleaning and organising with DIY of course...
I decided to share a few helpful links and show you my DIYs, these are the videos I followed so I decided not to make my own video and stuff.

Genuine product review: finished products

So you guys must definitely know what it's like to have, not one of those days, but, one of those weeks where everything seems to go wrong, Yep, happened to me. I got sick, really high fever and stuff, homework not yet done, haven't spoken to ANY friend of mine lately apart from 2 or 3 who I believe helped me keep my sanity, also, my skin's going crazy with all these pimples and stuff...you know what? I'm just not listing it any further or giving it any importance. I am trying to get out of it and I will, so will anyone out there in the same situation.

DIY Body Scrub

Summer. This heat. I need a glass of ice tea, lemon please...
well, by the time my maa prepares that, let me tell you, I have been on a frantic search for homemade body scrubs, probably because my skin feels so rough on my legs. It's so because I take a bath twice a day with refreshing body washes and don't care to apply moisturisers because they make me feel gooey. :/

The Body Shop all timers| Birthday Countdown: 4

Ola! I am just full of mixed emotion today and that's how I'm going to be until the countdown ends :\ Master Shifu I need Inner Peace please....
Well whatever it is, I feel the need to blog and post pretty pictures because it sort of makes me happy :D
Here are 3 The Beauty Shop products that I keep refilling...

1. Satsuma Body Polish
I have spoken about this before too I think...sorry for that. But, it really is a great scrub and you walk out smelling all citrusy and you feel smooth and it's refreshing!
2. My all time Faves: Born Lippys
My cousin doesn't like putting her long nails in the container to apply the balm, well, I got accustomed to it...it's worth it! It moisturises like heaven plus anyone getting near you can smell it and it tastes yummy okay?
3. The 60ml Body Lotions
Honestly, not trying to be cheap or anything, the 60 ml minis suffice me. I am not the sort of girl who applies body lotion every season, yes I do in winters, no I can't bear it in Summers. The minis are amazing because they are not sticky and well last really long cause I use them only on my face, elbows and knees. I have the big body lotion from Hollister and Nivea which I somehow finished (I never finish any product bottles)

Skincare Products to Loathe over

After Holi I just knew my skin was going to have a bad reaction.
Plus, I have these normal outbreaks of acne but just because it's normal doesn't mean you shouldn't do anything about it!
I recently went the the Kaya Skin Clinic for a consultation on back acne...yea...it's attacking me slowly. My consultant advised me for chemical peels but I wasn't so sure with my exams coming and all. So, I just bought the products she recommended.
1. Kaya Purifying Cleanser
2. Kaya Purifying Toner

Along with those I use my Body Shop Strawberry Puree Body Lotion to add some smooth texture and not make my skin flakey
It's just the perfect combination of cleanser+toner+moisturiser! I have tried a lot of drug store products but they are just not good enough!

Cleanser: the cleanser does not lather but it cleans up pretty well leaving the skin feeling non-greasy and squeaky-clean

Toner: the toner is in a spray on form and does wonders on large pores.

Moisturiser: this is probably the first moisturiser I have come across that is so light yet creamy. It makes the skin feel as thought no products are on it! I absolutely loveee it <3

If you have major acne issues the Kaya products definitely help as they have Salicylic acid.

Hope this helped, sorry for not posting from the past three days :(
Take care :*

Happy Holi

Sorry for not posting yesterday you guys I just was soon into spending time with my best friend . It's been forever for us.
Anyway I decided why not make a holi preparations and celebrations blog with my bestie ofc!
so:

1. Do not take a bath!
I know, but what's the point? you will have to take a bath again right? this is the one day in the year you'll actually be proud to say you didn't bathe :P

2. Oil everywhere.
Not just your hair but also your body to prevent from the colours from making a long term impact or harm your skin.

3. Tie your hair in a braid or pony
To prevent excessive colour damage.

4. Use Safe colours.
Colours that are eco-friendly and not permanent.
5. Apply nail paint.
On both feet and hands. this is to prevent the colour from staining your nails. No manicure can remove it all you know!

6. Conditioner.
Idk but I started doing this a couple of years back, I use conditioner to remove colour from rigid places, It's a oily sticky things so I guess colour comes out better without harming skin or hair.

7. Wear old clothes and old slippers or no slippers at all.
The will never look the same again. trust me.

8.The colours you use may be non-permanent but you never know what the other person uses so be careful and tell everyone to use eco-friendly or safe colours.

Lastly, take care and have an amazing and safe holi you guys.
loads of love :*

Dry Body Brushing

What is Dry Body Brushing?
It is a step to better health and skincare that involves a brush made of natural bristles which is used to brush the whole body before a bath to improve circulation and exfoliate body.

Benefits:
1.Exfoliation of skin that removes dead skin cells.
2. Unclogs pores.
3. Reduce cellulite.
4. It stimulates your lymphatic system.
5. Cellulite breakage

How to do it?
Buy a Dry body brush with natural ( not synthetic) bristles. Brush your body before shower. It is dry body brushing so definitely don't wet the brush or your body.
Start with your foot and go above, in circular motion first and then long strokes toward the heart. Always take strokes towards your heart ( only the back goes from neck to lower-back)

Where to buy?
I was lucky enough, when I first read an article on dry body brushing, the very next day I spotted a brush in Forever 21 so I just grabbed it because I couldn't find it online. But I later check the body shop online store and to be guilty it is available :(
So, 2 places:
Forever 21
I'm not sure the forever 21 brush is natural bristles but I'm just trying, so can you!

I hope this helped, I really want smooth even-toned skin and this promises that in just one week! I already feel smoother in one use!

Until then,
xoxo

Longevity of Cologne

Today morning while browsing thru my chaotic notifications and mails and feeds I came across one very interesting topic: How to make Perfume Last Longer

Problem: It indeed is very difficult to make sure your scent sticks to you all thru the day given the pollution and humidity which leads to extra perspiration and in the end you no more smell like you did when you stepped out of the house.

Solution: These few factors must be kept in mind :-

1. Take a bath with a body wash which can help in layering your perfume.
If your perfume has a floral and lime base then use a similar smelling body wash to help it layer on and stay longer.

2.Oily skin holds perfume longer so Moisturise well after bath or atlas moisturise the pulse points ( we'll discuss that too)

3. Apply perfume directly after shower and before clothing.
If not moisturising, apply perfume the minute you dry as the pores are open and will grab the scent and make it stay longer, plus, your skin absorbs more than cloth and the changes of perfume stains is reduced to zero.

4. Apply on pulse points. Pulse points are divided along the body so your scent won't be concentrated only near your arms.Basic pulse points:
Behind Ear

 Base of Throat

Wrists

- Additional:
behind knees and under the elbow
Source: www.diyncrafts.com

5. 6 inches away. Spray on any of the pulse points with the apron. of 6 inch distance for best results

Lastly just don't overdo. Don't layer too many scents, don't rub your wrists and don't spray on too much.

The perfume I used to try these steps was gifted to me by my Uncle very long ago, it's a Kylie Minogue Darling, I just thought I should acknowledge it as it was one of my first perfumes...

Versace Bright Crystal

Hie, I'm here with a product and I must admit it's rare...
So usually all my perfumes come as gifts from my Father, my personal forever favourite would be the Givenchy Play Intense For Her which was not only MY favourite but many of my friends adored the scent as much as me...
Then now I am using Escada Born In Paradise Which is another amazing scent that just makes my heart go light every time I smell it.
My new found love is : Versace
As I said my Father is the one who usually picks but this time I decided to pick one myself! I went and got the Bright Crystal 90ml!
It's just beau <3

The bottle itself is amazing with a crystal atop and a beautiful pink liquid (just the shade I adore) with a hexagonal bottle.
As for the scent it is totally feminine. The smell reminds me of the mountain flowers with dew drops and a misty weather...It's just a scent that gets into you and touches your soul. The first time I smelled it was just me and the scent in a store filled with people I could hear no longer cause the scent just amazed me. It's floral with a splash of fruit and feminine essence.
Ever since I bought it, the bottle so viciously lured me towards the dresser to wear it...I resisted, but today I no longer could and once I did I HAD to tell you guys how amazing it is!
The bottle, according to me signifies how the Versace woman is rare with her elegance yet so independent...the subtle yet strong smell of the scent just proves it...
I would definitely recommend you to at least go check the scent out or better yet buy it!
You get it online for far cheaper prices (don't know how) but I think the scent is perfect for the price tagged to it!
Check the Versace store online to see the commercial and bottled ingredients ( click on Versace)
You get it in 50ml too
Prices :
Givenchy Play Intense For Her : Inr 4,500 ( approx) for 50ml
Escada Born In Paradise : Inr 2,700 (approx) for 30ml
Versace Bright Crystal: Inr 4,300 (approx) for 50ml

The crystal is so much fun to play with ya!
